Abstract
Noncontact automated optical methods of 3D-shape inspection of diffuse objects are steadily increasing within industrial product quality inspection. Using the contouring technique it is possible to determine all coordinates of a 3D-object by the same way - on the basis of phase values calculated from the intensity distributions on the object surface. The contour lines can be generated by fringe projection (incoherent) or with the so-called two-source-, two-refractive indices- or two-wavelengths methods (coherent). Within an object volume of (100 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm) an accuracy of measurements of plusminus Mym is reached for all coordinates of the object.
