Festigkeits- und Abriebverhalten von Füllungsmaterialien nach Alterung und Thermoschockbehandlung
Abstract
Strength and abrasion behavior of an amalgam, a pure polymeric filling material and three glassfilled composites were determined after storage in Ringer's solution at 37 degree C as well as after additional loading by thermal shocks at temperatures between 12 and 55 degree C. Whereas the amalgam is not influenced by this treatment, the polymer deteriorates markedly by ageing, however, not by the thermal shocks. The composites react differently depending on the material, from negligible up to marked ageing effects and from small up to pronounced sensitivity to thermal shocking.
