Titel
Entkeimen von Packstoffen beim aseptischen Abpacken. 6.
Alternative
Dependence of the amount of condensed water and of inactivation rate of microorganisms from preheating conditions of packaging materials in context with steam sterilization
Abstract

Sterilization of packaging materials in aseptic machines by means of saturated steam offers the problem to avoid considerable amounts of condensed water upon the surface of the packaging materials. As shown, residuals of condensed water can be prevented by preheating the packaging materials up to 90 deg C or more. This preheating step also increases the efficacy of thermal sterilization during the following steam treatment.
