Titel
Dynamic objects in virtual worlds - integrating simulations in a virtual reality toolkit -
Abstract
Virtual worlds, in their quest for realistic presentations, can benefit tremendously from integrated dynamic simulations. The virtual reality toolkit of the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics (IGD), enables designers of virtual worlds to apply a range of simulation features and allows the user to interact with objects of the dynamic world. The worlds are defined by a single audiovisual scene database, which can be created and manipulated by standard modelers. Simulation data can be imported from standalone simulation systems or generated by integrated simulation modules. Simulation features can be self-experienced at IGD's virtual reality demo centre in Darmstadt, Germany
