Abstract
WO 2009019234 A1 UPAB: 20090401 NOVELTY - Preparing a material, for producing ceramic oxide coatings, comprises: (a) preparing at least one first compound of a metal cation containing cations of manganese, cerium, gadolinium and/or yttrium, and having at least one organic/organic portion containing anion; (b) dissolving/suspending the compound(s) in a protic, hydrolytically active solvent, so that the compound(s) is/are in a completely dissolved or colloidal dispersed form; (c) heating the obtained suspension or solution in a closed vessel at at least 80 degrees C; and (d) expanding and cooling the formed suspension or solution. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) an amorphous metal organic macromolecule comprising the cation of manganese, cerium, gadolinium and/or yttrium, and organic and/or its portion containing anions, where the macromolecule has a molecular or polycyclic complex with a primary particle size of less than 1 nm and an agglomerate size of 5-120 nm, preferably 10-80 nm; and (2) a coating material comprising the amorphous metal organic macromolecule and a solvent or suspension agent. USE - The method is useful for preparing materials, which are useful for producing ceramic oxide coatings. The coating material is useful for preparing oxide layers on a substrate, where the oxide layer is a diffusion barrier layer or epitaxic layer (all claimed). The coating materials is useful as immersion coatings, spray coatings or slingshot coating, and in various printing, preferably ink-jet printing, pad printing and screen printing. ADVANTAGE - The coating material is easily transformed into thick oxide layer at relatively low temperature.
