Systematically developing competencies at work in small and medium sized enterprises
Abstract
The performance of enterprises can be brought to excellence by continuously using competence management systems in combination with work-oriented learning arrangements. Especially small and medium-sized enterprises are looking for team oriented and local hands-on solutions. An example of such a solution will be presented and discussed in the first two sections of this paper. The demonstrated approach to competence development and learning is based on action learning theories situated learning theories and task analysis theories as conceptual frameworks which are outlined in the third section of this paper.
