Abstract
This paper introduces a geographically oriented approach to security risk management. In the field of security, threats are always intended by humans, acting at certain locations. If the location of a threatening person changes, its threat potential towards a geographically fixed object changes, too. We think that this geographical aspect is essential for efficient security risk management. Therefore, we expanded standardized terms and methods to develop a mathematical model that includes a geographical view on security tasks as well as it enables us to answer classical questions like countermeasures best to use.
