Werkzeugvermessung und erweiterte Schneidenformkompensation

Measuring tools and an enhanced form compensation of cutting edges
Abstract

The aim of the project is the improvement of attainable accuracy of production by automated compensation for non-circular cutting edges. Non-circular cutting edges are usually the result of flattening due to onesided load. The current shape of the cutting edge is captured by non-contact optical measurement. The captured geometry of the current cutting edge acts as an input for the newly developed compensation algorithms. The three main work packages of the project MikroKomp include a measurement system for cutting edges with an accuracy finer than 1µm in cooperation with Fraunhofer IOF, an adapted method for geometry description of cutting edges, and the integration of compensation algorithms (cutting edge form compensation) in numerical controls.
