Abstract
(A1) Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von stabilen Suspensionen von fein dispergierten kolloiddispersen kristallinen Titandioxid-Partikeln, umfassend die hydrothermale Behandlung von waessrigen molekulardispersen Sol-Gel-Loesungen, die aus amorphen wasserloeslichen Vorstufenpulvern hergestellt worden sind. Die so erhaltenen Suspensionen koennen u. a. zur Herstellung von duennen transparenten kristallinen Schichten verwendet werden.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for stable suspension of crystalline titanium dioxide particle, obtained by the above process. USE - The suspension is useful for the preparation of: thin transparent crystalline layers on a substrate, which is thermally sensitive such as glass, ceramics, metal or plastic; and porous titanium dioxide layers as self cleaning layers and stain-resistant layer; and as starting material for introducing titanium dioxide particle into materials (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The process provides stable suspension of finely dispersed colloidal dispersion of crystalline titanium dioxide particle, hydrophilic layer and thin transparent crystalline layers, which exhibits photocatalytic activity, antimicrobial characteristic and antifogging properties, and easy to clean (claimed). The suspension exhibits durability and provides layers with high optical homogeneity and quality with out any defects.
