Titel
Creation of e-learning content for microelectronics manufacturing
Abstract
In this paper, we report on the methodology, approach, and results concerning the creation of e-learning content for microelectronics manufacturing. The work was done in the framework of an EC-funded project called E-LIMM (E-Learning for Microelectronics Manufacturing) and was initiated to address the shortage of highly skilled industrial staff in the microelectronics industry and also to offer new methodologies to continuously train and qualify staff by using high-quality training and elearning courses and modules. The target group consists of operators, technicians, engineers, freshmen, and managers. The created content is of basic and intermediate level and has been adjusted to the daily work in the factory so that it is not restricted to the requirements of technical experts. Another goal of the project was the application of information technology, especially the creation of multimedia learning content integrated into networked systems, for training and further education of staff in microelectronics manufacturing. The four main topics for content were process technology, factory automation and operation, process and metrology equipment, as well as environment, safety, and health. The approach for creating the content followed a procedure according to different steps, which will be described here.
