Abstract
A concatenated coded-modulation scheme for 4D constellations is proposed that consists of an inner complexity-optimized non-binary LDPC code and an outer zipper code. The related packing, shaping, and coding gains reduce the required SNR by 1 dB over conventional BICM with DP-16QAM.
