This month we have a special focus section dedicated to our minireview format termed “Phenotype Reports.” This type of minireview was introduced two years ago [1] to explain why, for highly multiplexed immunophenotyping, certain surface and intracellular markers and marker combinations were selected to identify and analyze specific leukocyte subsets in humans and other mammalian species. Most of the publications where multicolor flow cytometry is used do not explain in detail the literature bases behind the decision for a specific combination of antibodies, this includes OMIPs [2]. phenotype reports intends to fill this gap. This month we are happy to present a collection of five reports: two for mice and three for humans, covering endothelial cells, dendritic cells, and T lymphocytes. You will find more information in the editorial adjacent to this special section (see this issue page 216‐217). We hope for your interest and input as a reader and also as a potential author for future reports. In my view, authors of recently published OMIPs are often ideal candidates to write phenotype reports.
