Dual-polarization Kramers-Kronig reception using two collinear polarization-selective photodiodes
Abstract
We propose a novel integrated dual-polarization Kramers-Kronig (DP-KK) receiver architecture using a photonic-integrated circuit (PIC) comprising two serially cascaded polarization-selective photodiodes. We validate the concept by experimental demonstration of a 224 Gb/s data signal reception (28-GBd PDM-16QAM) after transmission over 120-km SSMF.
