Titel
Abrasive waterjet turning of titanium alluminides
Abstract
In this paper the effects of parameter settings of abrasive waterjet turning (AWJT) on the titanium aluminide alloy TNB-V5 are investigated. Three setting parameters are varied and verified on five levels with regard to the depth of cut dc, the volume removal rate (VRR) and the maximum height of profile Rz. Additionally, the relationship to the absolute and specific feed rate is analysed and the ranges of the setting parameters for the empirical models are defined. Regression analysis and experimental validation completed the model-based optimisation of the abrasive waterjet turning process on titanium aluminide TNB-V5.
