Abstract
We demonstrate a novel perturbation-based fiber nonlinearity compensation technique and evaluate its performance in a metro-reach system experiment. The achieved gains in Q 2 -factor are comparable to digital back-propagation over a wide range of symbol rates and pulse-shapes.
