Titel
Monolithic Ceramic IR-Emitter in Multilayer Technology
Abstract
This paper presents the research results arose from the cooperation project for the development of a monolithic Infrared (IR) emitter in ceramic multilayer technology for requirements in a gas analyzer as IR radiation source. Currently available IR emitters on the market, such as micro lamps or silicon based IR-Emitter have a limited range of wavelengths (e.g. when using glass or sapphire windows), low long-term stability, often early failures in open operation, low radiated power (due to poor emission levels or low radiator temperatures <500°C) and poor modulation ability. Therefore, the aim of the cooperation is to develop an economically viable solution of a high-temperature and long-term stable ceramic IR-emitter as infrared radiation source at high temperatures (>650∘C) and pulsation frequenzies up to 5 Hz.
