Software Model Requirements Applied to a Cyber-Physical Modular Robot in a Production Environment
Abstract
In order to plan and implement modular and ultra-flexible cyber-physical production systems which can produce fully customized products using production resources and processes economically, it is necessary to develop new software models to control the fusion of the factory and its digital model in near-real time. This paper discusses the software model requirements to connect and control adjustable and modular hybrid production systems, incorporating production simulation and additive manufacturing technologies in an economical and human-centered way. As an example, we describe a modular cyber-physical robot, which in turn is considered a module and, therefore, a demonstrator of the fractal factory.
