Abstract
Beside the conventional tensile tests, new material testing techniques as the Maxi-Bulge-Test and the tension-compression test for sheet metals provide precise data and parameters with respect to the material behavior in the case of yield initiation, beside the region of uniform elongation and in dependency of the anisotropy of the material. The shape of the yield surface and its evolution during the forming process has a significant influence on the quality of the forming results, so the utilization of the biaxial-tension-test is in the end indispensable. The identification of the material parameters is an inverse problem, which can be approximated by a nonlinear optimization problem, which provides the best as possible accommodation of the computed global or local data to the measured data. So the foundation for a more precise process optimization and technological development are established.
