Abstract
Gaussian beam superposition is applied to model a variety of standard transducer types. Previously published approaches available in the literature have been applied and modified to account for rectangular and non-planar transducer apertures.
Beam field calculation for both single and layered media is addressed. Numerical evaluation results are presented in view of practical inspection applications.
