Abstract
Particles and particle systems are everywhere in our everyday life. Also in the field of energetic materials they play an important role, e.g. in pyrotechnics or rocket propellants. Their physical and chemical behaviour is also determined by the procedural properties, like particle size and goodness of mixture. In this work nano computer tomography (nano-CT) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) images are analysed with image evaluation algorithms to determine particle size distribution and goodness of mixture of a pyrotechnic mixture in comparison to laser diffraction measurements.
