The project thesis describes the development of a software tool which supports the use of the Optimized Set Reduction (OSR) Algorithm. OSR is a pattern recognition method that learns from older experiences and can be used to predict a current project. Uploading historical data, pre processing of the data and finally configure and start the OSR Algorithm are tasks which can be done with the developed tool. Pre Processing of the historical data like selecting attributes and cases, but also changing single values are important for the quality of the data. Qualitative high class data is the basis for a meaningful estimation. To build up the system the typical software development steps were followed. After analysis of the requirements, all important design decisions in architecture and system design are described in this document.
