Titel
Implementation and Validation of a Distributed Software-Infrastructure
Abstract
The visions and ideas of Ambient Intelligence demands technologies that make the communication and cooperation of different heterogeneous devices possible. Not until mechanisms for communication and self-organisation of distributed devices and software components are established the cooperation of devices within a dynamic environment could not be realized. Within the project DynAMITE the Fraunhofer-Insitute for Computer Graphics designed and specified a software-infrastructure that realizes self-organisation of software-components by the definition of transducers and channels. This software-infrastructure - SodaPop - realizes conflict resolution of competing components (e.g. for messages and tasks) by means of the application of domaindependent channel strategies. These strategies are executed in a distributed manner among the participating devices. The presented thesis elaborates the specification and implementation of distributed SodaPop-Daemons that are running on physical devices each as well as the semantic protocol that is used for the message exchange. Self-organisation of physical devices is realized by means of persistent data management of the SodaPop-Daemons and specific communication mechanisms by using underlying communication technologies. The thesis is using a threelayer- architecture for implementing the SodaPop-Daemon - SodaPop-Daemon- communication according to the specification and design documents of the DynAMITE-project.
