This paper addresses the requirements imposed on 5G channel models which aim to support frequencies up to 100 GHz. It describes the initial channel model used in the mmMAGIC project as basis for link and system level investigations. The model is compliant to the 3GPP-3D model, but provides first extensions to support the mm-wave frequency range.
