Powermate - Higher degree of human robot cooperation in industrial environments through the development of new controller and sensor devices
Abstract
Through the user of new sensor devices, new forms of safe human robot cooperation are made possible. The demonstrator PowerMate shows a possible setup. An even higher degree of flexibility can be achieved by adding prototype devices and sensors to the system, making the robot aware of its environment, while maintaining safety. Finally an example of human robot application (Intuitive Teaching) is given, now becoming possible due to these current developments in sensor devices.
