Abstract
The system (100) has transponder positioning areas (101) arranged in a matrix, and data communication interfaces (103) arranged at the respective positioning areas. Column lines (102a-102d) are coupled with a controller (107) and the interfaces. The controller is coupled with the interfaces during application of signals (415, 417) to the column lines, respectively. The controller activates the interfaces for data transmission between the system and a transponder (105) that is positioned in one of the positioning areas. The controller is provided with a signal generator.

Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a transponder (2) a method for detecting a transponder (3) a computer program with a program code for executing a method for detecting a transponder.

Identification system i.e. planning board, for use with a transponder for creating position plans in hospital.

The controller activates the interfaces for data transmission between the system and the transponder that is positioned in one of the positioning areas, thus ensuring simple and cost-effective implementation of the identification system.
