Titel
Environmental conditions-based analysis of energy harvesting systems for wireless sensor networks
Abstract
The increasing efficiency of ultra-low-power electronic components and the growing market of energy harvesters have together led to an increasing number of self-sufficient energy harvesting applications in a wide array of fields. The goal of this work is the development of a methodology for determining the amount of ambient and harvestable energy available in various environments. The developed methodology can be used to help facilitate the design of energy autarkic systems utilizing energy harvesting techniques. This paper describes the methodology and an example application, which takes the form of an energy autarkic wireless sensor network applied in a typical office environment.
