"Energized - the interactive routes of electric energy" is a recently developed Virtual Reality edutainment exhibit illustrating how electrical energy is transformed and transported through the electricity network. After several appearances on trade shows it resides now at the Cybernarium, the first permanent public exhibition dedicated to Virtual and Augmented Reality. The exhibit enables up to eight visitors to interact by cooperatively forming a functioning electricity network. Each visitor plays the role of a component of the network such as a power station, switchyard, transformer station, factory or apartment house. This paper presents an overview on the content of the exhibit, the hardware setup and a detailed description of the human-computer interaction aspects, especially the used tracking technology.
