Organische Photovoltaik - Mehr Flexibilität für die Zukunft
Abstract
Organic photovoltaics (OPV) technology has emerged as an alternative to meet the needs of the energy industry in the future. Many fundamental and technology-related problems needed to be solved after the development of the first organic solar cells (OSCs). Organic materials with a high purity grade were necessary leading to the development of new syntheses routes with less reactive by-products, due to the complex architectural structure of organic electronics and their sensitivity to defect sites. That competitiveness of organic electronics was demonstrated by the broad application of active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) displays in smartphones. The whole spectrum of optoelectric and morphological characteristics has to be considered for the development of new organic materials.
