In this work, different approaches for enhancing radiation properties of phased-array antennas based on metamaterials (MTM) are presented. In case of antenna front-end technology, efforts have been done in designing metaradomes for mitigation of the blind-spot effect inherent to the periodic structure of phased arrays and in designing a compact series feeding network.
