Using a semi-analytical point source superposition method, the signals from spherical, cylindrical and crack-like reflectors observed in a pulse-echo measurement are predicted. The simulated signals are compared with experiments, where normally incident longitudinal waves as well as obliquely incident transverse and longitudinal waves, generated by circular focused and unfocused transducers, respectively, of 5MHz center frequency have been applied in an immersion set-up. These benchmark experiments have been carries out at the Center for NDE, Iowa State University, in continuation of the previous UT Benchmark Problems.
