Abstract
The Stuttgart Enterprise Model represents a system with expanded objectives aiming at transformable enterprises structures: The continuous, extremely fast and smooth adaption of a factory to changes and to a transforming environment. The Stuttgart Enterprise Model strives for a scalable approach including one basic model of process performance units that follows the main principles of cooperation, self-organization, self-optimization, self-monitoring, self-configuration and technical intelligence. The technical and organizational processes that are connected by information and material flows constitute the elements of production. The Stuttgart Enterprise Model represents a system with expanded objectives. It provides solution models, methods, tools and procedures to solve the major problems in day-to-day business, for middle and long-term planning activities & strategies associated with increasing the competitiveness aiming at transformable enterprise structure.
