Abstract
In this contribution we discuss the problem of a dislocation double pileup at impenetrable boundaries which serves as a benchmark test to examine the continuum dislocation dynamics (CDD). We enhance a formulation for a numerical implementation and the mean-field theory to account for the long-range stress field due to inhomogeneous plastic deformations by a suitable correction term. This allows us to handle the motion of dislocation densities at impenetrable boundaries and study the influence of dislocation interactions on a scale much smaller than the scale of the proposed mean-field stress.
