Titel
Ultrasonic Backscattering at JRQ Specimen
Abstract
In the round robin action of the AMES network material states of JRQ-steel 'as delivered' and 'aged' by annealing (18 hours at 700°C) followed by water quenching have been studied with different non-destructive techniques, being sensitive for a material characterisation. Ultrasonic backscattering is a possible candidate for microstructure determination and possible potenteials to reveal the aged material. The emphasis of the contribution is to shortly summarise the potentials and to discuss the special result.
