Sensor data fusion for agile UAVs in a network-centric environment
Abstract
A network of unmanned aerial platforms offers numerous benefits for intelligence collection, surveillance and re-connaissance within the framework of network-enabled operations, but also poses particular challenges with regard to the algorithms used for sensor data fusion. The Fraunhofer Institute for Communication, Information Processing and Ergonomics (Fraunhofer FKIE) is developing and testing track-to-track fusion algorithm methods for multi-platform target reconnaissance.
