Titel
Alternative
Using simulation-based assistance systems for risks-integrated planning and control of large-scale projects e.g. in the fields of plant engineering or construction industry
Abstract

Execution of large-scale projects in plant engineering and construction industry is attended by a multitude of risk of unknown dimension. Whenever risks occur during execution of large-scale project they cause remarkable delay of processes as well as costs increase. Currently, no cost and time efficient approach exists, which allows a transparent evaluation of effects on the current project planning and its execution caused by changes of the project conditions. Within this paper the requirements of such an approach are specified and existing approaches analyzed. In the end a concept is presented that allows a risk-based evaluation of execution plans using discrete event simulation.
