Requirements for a service lifecycle management
Abstract
Servitization is a grand challenge for all manufacturing companies to extend their business. A service lifecycle management can help companies to develop and manage their service on a systematic way. It involves all the aspects of the enterprise, which therefore needs methodological and technical support concerning an integrated development and management of service offerings. As a main result the paper presents the requirements to such a service life cycle management. It is based on 14 interviews with service experts from German manufacturing companies. The results of the study show that the significance how to develop and manage product-related services increases continuously.
