Titel
Simulation-based design and evaluation of O&M logistics concepts for offshore wind power plants
Abstract
In this article a simulation tool to compare different logistics concepts for the operating phase of offshore wind power plants (OWPP) is introduced. The article starts by describing the envisaged development of offshore wind energy in the next years and emphasizes the need of cost reduction to boost this industry. It is shown that the operating phase with its logistics has a great impact on the economic success of an OWPP. The costs in the operating phase are connected to the maintenance strategies and logistics. These different maintenance strategies and logistics concepts are explained. Based on this analysis the simulation tool is introduced and its components, inputs and outputs are explained.
