Abstract
We report on our QWIP FPA developments for the 8 - 12 mu and 3 - 5 mu atmospheric windows. In the 3 - 5 mu regime, we apply several device concepts, giving rise to photoconductive and photovoltaic operation, to QWIP FPAs with array sizes from 256x256 to 640x512 pixels. The FPAs achieve excellent thermal resolution, with noise-equivalent temperature differences (NETD) down to 5 mK in the 8 - 12 mu and 14 mK in the 3 - 5 mu regimes. We also present histogram data of our dual-band OWIP FPA with 384x288 pixels with simultaneous integration in both the 8 - 12 mu and 3 - 5 mu spectral bands on each pixel.
