Profits from increased Gender Diversity Quality
Abstract
Gender diversity management is no longer just nice to have, it is a must for global acting organisations and has become an urgent economic issue. One often communicated reason is the struggle for experts in the industrial countries. But since research has shown that well-balanced teams of women and men are more innovative as mere male or female teams this fact is increasingly recognised as an important source for economic success and has become a major reason for the improvement of Gender Diversity Quality. Gender-mixed teams do have more and more different ideas to select from and their finally chosen innovations address bigger markets and thus have bigger potentials for economic success from the very beginning. Thus, effectively working in gender mixed teams becomes a topic of growing relevance. To create the most fitting working conditions to unfold the specific competences of female and male employees becomes vital. Increasing Gender Diversity Quality is a top-management controlled process which needs to be based on a set of criteria. It requires a continuous monitoring as well as a sensitive adaptation to the slowly shifting organisational culture if it is to contribute to the organisational success.
