Abstract
Vibrations, based on structural or rigid body resonances, have negative influence on a vehicle's comfort and acoustics. At the Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability (LBF) an adjustable spring element was now developed. The adaptable vibration absorber built upon that element allows the setting of resonances as well as vibration reduction.
