Abstract
We present a novel protection concept for electrooptical sensors with the possibility to filter incident radiation both spatially and spectrally within a small area of the field of view. This capability particularly can be used as a protection measure against laser dazzling which suppresses ideally only the threatening continuous wave laser light, while not affecting the non-threatening radiation. In order to achieve this aim, we make use of a spatial light modulator in combination with wavelength multiplexing as the key elements of the sensor concept.
