Luftwechsel und Lüftungswärmeverlust in Saunakabinen
Abstract
On behalf of the Deutscher Sauna-Bund e.V., Bielefeld, air exchange rates were determined aiming at the drawing-up of a "Guideline for the construction of commercially used sweating rooms". The air exchange rates were measured in different sauna cabins and under varied conditions of operation and utilisation. For the measurement of the air exchange rates the so-called indicator gas process according to the VDI guideline 4300 - page 7 was used. According to the operation conditions and the degree of utilisation an air exchange between 10 h-1 and 30 h-1 occurred. A supposed medically necessary air exchange of at least 10 h-1 will result in an annual heating energy demand exceeding by far the legal requirements of the heat protection regulation actually in force. Thus, these requirements cannot be transferred to sauna installations.
