Abstract
DE 102009056467 A1 UPAB: 20110621 NOVELTY - The method involves defining a surface as a start surface, and varying the surface. The surface is evaluated by comparing characteristics of the surface with visualized characteristics of the surface. Evaluation of a correlation between the characteristics of the surface and the visualized characteristics is resulted, where the correlation is larger than or same as a predetermined correlation. The surface is defined as the surface to be determined, and evaluation of a third correlation is resulted, where the third correlation is smaller than or same as the predetermined correlation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a method for controlling a handling device i.e. robot (2) a method for simulating component characteristics (3) a method for material testing (4) a device for determining surfaces in voxel data. USE - Method for determining surfaces of an object in voxel data e.g. discrete data, volumetric data and three-dimensional data, for controlling a handling device i.e. robot (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to a ball, a dice, a cube, a cylinder or a disk. ADVANTAGE - The surface is defined as the surface to be determined, and evaluation of the correlation is resulted, which is smaller than or same as the predetermined correlation, thus producing controlled surface data from the voxel data, and increasing accuracy of the data in determined regions, separating different materials, and separately determining the surface of the different materials.
