Abstract
DE 102010028991 A1 UPAB: 20110621 NOVELTY - The transponder (210) has an antenna oscillator circuit (214) operated at a resonant frequency or at another resonant frequency depending on reception of energy at the transponder or on data transmission from/to a data source (216). The antenna oscillator circuit comprises a capacitive assembly and an inductive assembly, where a capacitance value of the capacitive assembly and/or an inductance value of the inductive assembly are variable so as to cause switching from the former resonant frequency to the latter resonant frequency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a transponder system comprising a passive transponder and a reader (2) a method of transmitting data from/to a data source of a passive transponder in a radio frequency identification (RFID) system. USE - Passive transponder for use in a radio frequency identification (RFID) system for providing measurement signals to detect a physiological parameter of a patient. ADVANTAGE - The antenna oscillator circuit are operated at one of the resonant frequencies or at the other resonant frequency depending on reception of the energy at the transponder or on the data transmission from/to the data source, thus supplying sufficient energy to a sensor transponder having a limited antenna size while ensuring safe data transmission for detecting the physiological parameter of the patient.
