A step towards real time
Abstract
The agent-based Production monitoring and control system (PMC) for real-time production monitoring supports manufacturing operations such as production order control, process monitoring and control, sequence planning, and vehicle identification. PMC is used in classical automation field to gather signals produced by production facilities and programmable logic controllers (PLC). PLCs support manufacturing decisions through manufacturing execution systems (MES) that provide link between process monitoring tolls and the systems that carry product information. The framework of MES is designed to optimize interaction of MES modules with the vendors that provide MES services. Software agents are used as a means of integration for the development of PMCs or MES components. A visualization agent is used for interfering with a SCADA systems such as WinCC and FactoryLink. The Web-server agent interfaces the PLC to statistical analysis system, which is in-house product ProVisPaul a or a software.
