Two kinds of polymer waveguide switches, interferometric-type switches and digital optical switches (DOS) were reported. Interferometric-type switches shows low optical crosstalk at low switching power and they are wavelength sensitive. Polymer waveguide devices were useful in optical networks such as high-channel count optical cross-connect and dynamic optical add or drop multiplexers.
