Abstract
Optical Q-factor monitoring at 160 Gb/s using an optical sampling system in an 80 km transmission was presented. The optical clock recovery in the sampling system was used as clock recovery for the optical demultiplexer. The bit error rate (BER) curve for the transmission was also presented. Results showed that error free transmission and demultiplexing was achieved.
