Titel
Net-fly and ContextControl: Two examples of game based interfaces
Abstract
Highly complex menu and dialog structures in standard applications like word processing or spreadsheets contradict good operability and deter be-ginners and occasional users. In this paper, we present two examples for a new kind of user interface based on games. These game based interfaces are easier to learn and can be specialized to different tasks and contexts. We give some information about ContextControl, a widget to control existing applications with a game based interface and we discuss Net-Fly, a module for playable as-sistance for search engines.
