Titel
Kopplung einer Panorama-Ansicht mit einem Web-GIS
Abstract

Geographical Information Systems are able to present data through the internet like it is done on a city map. Specific buildings can be selected and due to the selection additional information can be displayed. The orientation on a city map is not simple for all users. The presentation of the data through a 3D-Web-GIS interface is under development and due to the long download times not usable yet for pages where users don't rest for a long time. With the help of a connection between a panoramic view and a Web-GIS, the gap between a 2D and a 3D GIS can be closed. The connection identifies objects on a Panorama to the corresponding objects on a 2D-Map. The identification was put into practice through a city model. The selection is initiated through the user. Objects can be identified where the panorama, the corresponding camera and it's position and the city model is available. The selected building is then marked as red on the city map.
