Using online resources for self-paced learning, with or without tutor support, with or without assessments, seems to be increasingly common in nowadays business and work life. What is new is that with Web 2.0 technologies, it is becoming more and more straightforward for individual learners to get connected with other learners or experts in the subject matter. Using these connections bears significant advantages, as the insights of many can thus be collected, exchanged, compared, and deliberated. The EU funded Embed4Auto project intends to support this kind of collaborative learning with a focus on collaborative problem solving. Learners are supported by a modeling and a sharing system that makes multiple avenues to solutions visible. Especially with the modeling of UML2 diagrams where there is no such thing as a single correct solution, the collaborative finding of a solution, supported by Web 2.0 technologies, leads to more efficient learning outcomes.
